HTF Travel Services Ltd. T/A Éire Trips – Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they set out our respective rights and obligations. By purchasing a ticket, completing a booking, or actively checking the confirmation box at checkout, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Once ‘HTF Travel Services Ltd. T/A Éire Trips’ (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us,” or “Éire Trips”) confirms your booking, a binding contract is formed based on the terms set out below. We will only issue a booking confirmation once full payment or an agreed deposit has been received.
1. Bookings and Confirmations
Confirmation Delivery: All online bookings are confirmed via email. This digital document serves as your official confirmation of booking and your ticket voucher. It should be saved to your mobile device or printed for your own reference.
Delivery Failures: We accept no responsibility for incorrect email addresses provided at checkout or for the failure of digital delivery systems beyond our control. If your confirmation email does not arrive immediately after payment, it is your responsibility to contact us to request that it be resent.
Unpaid Reservations: We reserve the absolute right to cancel and resell any tour slots or vehicle placements that have been reserved without full payment or an explicitly agreed deposit.
Passenger Accountability: It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to inspect the accuracy of the dates, times, and tour types selected upon receiving their digital travel documents.
2. Punctuality, Late Arrivals, and the 5-Minute Rule
On-Time Departure Commitment: To ensure our strict commitment to cruise ship port schedules and the collective experience of all passengers, our tours operate on a sharp timeline.
The 5-Minute Maximum: Our guides and drivers will do their absolute best to ensure you have an unforgettable experience, but they cannot wait for customers who arrive late at the initial pier pickup point or at any venue stops along the route. Éire Trips will wait a maximum of 5 minutes past the scheduled time before continuing the itinerary.
Abandonment Costs: Any late passengers left behind are not entitled to a refund, partial refund, or compensation. If you miss a departure window mid-tour, you may contact the emergency phone number printed on your voucher. However, you will be solely responsible for all financial and logistical costs associated with rejoining the group, catching public transit, or returning independently to the port terminal.
3. Cruise Logistics and Connecting Services
Tender Boat Ports: Passengers acknowledge that Dún Laoghaire is a tender port requiring boat transit from ship to shore. While our itineraries are meticulously built around standard port timetables, Éire Trips accepts no liability if a service departs or arrives later than specified due to tender boat backlogs, port authority constraints, or traffic congestion.
Missed Connections: We are not liable for any financial losses or disruptions if a minor delay causes you to miss a secondary connecting service or ship departure time, though every professional effort will be made to maintain our strict buffer windows.
4. Group Restrictions and Behavioural Standards
Party Restrictions: To preserve a premium, culturally focused atmosphere, we strictly prohibit stag parties, hen (bachelorette) parties, or generalised drinking/pub-crawl parties on our scheduled routes.
Environmental & Transport Respect: Guests must show courtesy, respect, and standard civic decorum to our guides, drivers, hosting venue staff, and fellow tour members at all times. Rubbish bins and waste containers are provided at all stops and inside our vehicles; guests are legally required to respect the local Irish environment and our transport amenities by disposing of litter correctly.
Right of Refusal / Removal: Failure to comply with the instructions of an authorised Éire Trips representative may result in immediate removal from the tour at the management’s absolute discretion. If a guest's behaviour is deemed incompatible with the general safety, wellbeing, or enjoyment of the group, they will be ordered to leave the tour. In such instances, Éire Trips will not be liable for refunds, compensation, or any secondary transport costs.
5. Alcohol Usage, the Pub Masterclass, and Allergen Indemnity
Legal Compliance: Alcoholic beverages (such as a premium pint of stout or a local craft alternative) are included as a core structural element of our masterclass experiences. Guests who choose to consume alcohol must do so in strict compliance with the intoxicating liquor laws of the Republic of Ireland.
Responsible Consumption: Guests are strictly required to pace themselves and remain responsible regarding the quantities of alcohol they consume.
Bar Area Restrictions: For health, safety, and liability reasons, guests are completely prohibited from entering the operational workspace behind the bar counters of our partner venues. The perfect-pour experience is conducted exclusively as a front-row theatrical demonstration led by certified staff. Pints will be served directly to the tables as they are prepared by the venue staff.
Sobriety Enforcement: We reserve the absolute right to cut off alcohol service to, or immediately remove from the tour, any guest who displays signs of excessive intoxication or poses a risk to staff, venue partners, or public safety. No refunds or compensation will be issued under these circumstances.
Mandatory Food Allergen Declaration: Under EU Food Information for Consumers (FIC) Regulation 1169/2011, guests are explicitly advised that our interactive "Irish Weekend" crisp sandwich and pint pairing masterclass utilises ingredients containing major allergens. The standard materials supplied by our partner venue contain the following:
White Sliced Pan Bread: Contains Gluten (Wheat). May contain traces of Soya and Sesame Seeds.
Irish Spreadable Butter: Contains Milk (Dairy / Lactose).
Tayto Cheese & Onion Crisps: Contains Milk (Lactose). May contain traces of Gluten (Wheat, Barley) and Soya.
Guinness Stout / Draught: Contains Gluten (Barley).
Allergen Waiver: While coeliac, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan alternatives can be pre-arranged given written notice at checkout, guests with severe food allergies participate at their own risk. It is the passenger's sole responsibility to inspect individual packaging labels provided before building or consuming any food components. Éire Trips accepts no liability for accidental exposure or allergen cross-contamination managed at the venue partner's level.
6. Cancellation, Changes, and Refunds
Our refund architecture is fixed and strictly applied to protect guide allocation, asset booking blocks, and partner venue coordination:
Cancellations by the Customer:
8 Weeks or More Prior to Tour: Eligible for a Full (100%) Refund.
Less than 8 Weeks Prior to Tour / No-Show: Strictly No Refund.
Changes by the Customer:
Up to 48 Hours Prior to Departure: Date or time changes are permitted, strictly subject to guide availability and ship schedule alignment.
Less than 48 Hours Prior to Departure: No changes permitted; no refunds issued.
Inbound Vessel Port-Cancellations: In the specific instance where your cruise vessel completely bypasses the scheduled Dún Laoghaire port call due to extreme maritime or weather events determined by the ship's Captain, Éire Trips will issue a 70% refund of the ticket face value, retaining a 30% operational block fee to clear non-refundable local venue holds, staffing reservations, and entertainment contracts.
7. Changes, Cancellations, and Alterations by Us
Itinerary Discretion: We reserve the right to alter or adjust our typical driving loops or walking routes at any time to account for local road closures, heavy foot traffic, or sudden site restrictions. If a primary asset becomes unavailable, we will substitute an alternative arrangement of comparable cultural and monetary value.
Force Majeure: While we make every professional effort to execute bookings as scheduled, Éire Trips reserves the right to alter, curtail, or cancel the whole or part of a tour due to events completely outside our control. Force majeure events include, but are not limited to: extreme adverse weather events, official meteorological orange/red warnings, natural disasters, industrial strikes, port lockouts, civil conflict, fires, floods, or sudden vessel itinerary re-routings. No financial compensation or consequential loss payouts will be issued for force majeure cancellations.
Price Modifications: We reserve the right to launch promotional discounts, decrease tour seat pricing, or adjust brochure media in the public domain at our discretion at any time.
Subcontracting Framework: We reserve the absolute right to subcontract vehicle transport or guiding services to fully licensed, vetted, and insured independent operators. Any such subcontractors will operate under the identical liability limitations set out in these terms.
8. Weather Conditions and Contingencies (Plan W)
Four Seasons in a Day: Ireland’s maritime climate is famously changeable and unpredictable. Guests are strongly advised to dress appropriately for the elements, including bringing waterproof jackets, coats, or umbrellas.
The Indoor Transition: Under no circumstances can Éire Trips be held financially responsible for weather conditions. No ticket can be cancelled, amended, or refunded by a customer on the basis of local weather conditions or rain.
Plan W Execution: If heavy gales or horizontal torrential rain render the outdoor elements unsafe or highly uncomfortable, our walking tours automatically transition into our pre-arranged Plan W framework. The experience shifts into Dún Laoghaire’s indoor historic, civic, and cultural public architecture before moving into our warm pub venue partner for the matching masterclass, music, and pints.
9. Travel Insurance and Personal Liability
Insurance Exclusion: Personal travel insurance is not included in the purchase price of any Éire Trips ticket or vehicle buyout.
Limitation of Liability: We accept no responsibility or liability for injuries, medical emergencies, illness, or financial loss incurred by guests while participating in optional activities, walking on uneven coastal terrain, or stepping outside our direct tour package parameters.
Theft and Property Damage: We accept no responsibility or liability for the theft, loss, accidental dropping, water damage, or physical destruction of personal belongings (including smartphones, professional cameras, purses, or luggage) at any point during the duration of your tour.
We strongly recommend that all international travellers take out comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellations, emergency medical expenses, personal baggage loss, and personal public liability before boarding their cruise.
10. Health, Mobility, and Personal Responsibilities
Medical Disclosures: Customers are required to inform us in writing at the time of booking of any significant medical conditions, severe physical mobility limitations, or required immediate access to emergency medications before a tour commences.
Route Suitability: Our 3-hour walking tours feature flat, paved urban footpaths but require a steady pedestrian pace for roughly 1.8km / 1.2 miles approximately. Our 4-hour private driving loops involve stepping over uneven, historic, or stepped coastal terrain at scenic lookout stops. It is the customer's responsibility to review suitability before booking.
Audio Headset Safety & Pedestrian Awareness: The utilisation of wireless Vox audio headsets requires guests to maintain strict visual awareness of their surroundings while walking. Éire Trips accepts no liability for personal trips, slips, falls, or pedestrian accidents resulting from a guest's failure to maintain physical situational awareness while utilising audio equipment on public walkways or roads.
Travel Documentation: It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to secure and carry all valid passports, entry visas, maritime landing permits, and required international health certificates necessary to step ashore in Ireland.
11. Media, Photography, and Live-Streaming Consent
Group Marketing Release: During the course of your tour operations, your Éire Trips guide, driver, or an approved media partner may take photographs, record high-definition video, or capture short live-stream segments of the group experience.
Usage Rights: By booking a place on our tours, you explicitly grant Éire Trips the perpetual, royalty-free right to utilise these photographic and video assets containing your likeness for promotional brochures, website imagery, social media marketing channels, and digital advertisements worldwide without requiring further compensation, notifications, or explicit secondary consent.
12. Formal Complaints Procedure
Immediate Resolution: In the unlikely event that you wish to file a formal complaint regarding your experience, you must verbally inform your Éire Trips driver or guide at the time of the issue. This gives us the fair opportunity to employ our best professional endeavours to rectify the problem on the spot.
The 30-Day Limit: If the issue cannot be satisfactorily resolved during the trip, your formal complaint must be submitted in writing to management via email within 30 days of the tour date. Éire Trips will completely decline to consider, investigate, or process any liability claims, refund requests, or complaints submitted after this strict 30-day window has expired.
13. Smoke-Free Operations
Strict Smoking Ban: To protect the health and comfort of our staff and passengers, smoking, vaping, or the use of electronic cigarettes is strictly prohibited inside any of our executive private vehicles, mini-coaches, or indoor staging offices.
